HELPS Water Filters for Guatemala

Donate Now!

On May 29th, Tropical Storm Agatha made landfall in Guatemala bringing heavy rains that washed away bridges, filled some villages with mud, and triggered the giant sinkhole. A week after the storm there are 170 people dead, 101 unaccounted, 231,048 affected and 92,936 living in shelters.

National water deliveries are severely limited. Water service has been disrupted in thousands of homes and families in Guatemala desperately need clean filtered water. It's a basic first step to help victims get back on their feet.

HELPS International is assisting the affected people of Guatemala with its Gravity Water Filter. The water filter provides 10 gallons of safe drinking water in 24 hours. It is simple to use and the Initial setup time is about 15 minutes.

HELPS' Gravity Water Filtration System insures 100% removal of parasites such as guinea worm and giardia, and 99.99% removal of pathogenic bacteria such as: cholera, Ecoli, and shigella. The filtered water measures up to US standards of purification.

HELPS International and its partners have joined to bring aid to the people of Guatemala but we need your help!

We are in a race against time and disease. If you can help, please do so. Each delivered filter costs $42 and should produce clean water for 20 people each day. HELPS has set up a Guatemalan Emergency Relief Fund where you can donate to help a Guatemalan family in this time of crisis.

Donate Now!

Thank you, and may God be with these people.
