HELPS Water Filter Relief Fund

Donate Now!

Continuous rains have caused severe flooding, landslides and deterioration of the road infrastructure. There are many families in the different departments of the country that have been evacuated and placed in shelters due to unsafe conditions or flooding of their communities. The most important aid that can be provided is clean and continuous drinking water to avoid gastrointestinal problems that can be even more life threatening than the weather conditions.

HELPS International has been working in Guatemala since 1984 with an integrated poverty reduction program and since 2001 has been developing, producing and distributing ONIL Products that improve the quality of life for the rural families. The ONIL Filters have been developed to provide 10 gallons of clean drinking water per day and are the best solution for these emergency settings. The filters eliminate 100% of water borne parasites, 99.99% pathogenic bacteria (Cholera, Shigella, E. Coli) and reduce the turbidity of the water by 97%. This is not a temporary but a long term solution that will last long after this time of crisis as the filter has the capacity to filter enough water for a full year for a family.

Help us provide ONIL Water Filters to the families in dire need of clean drinking water in the most affected regions. For only $45 you can help one family with clean drinking water now and for a full year after the crisis. We are in a race against time and disease!

Please donate to help provide these much needed water filters.
