Cascade Medical Team of Eugene, Oregon was the first medical team to add a stove project in the spring of 2005. Since 2015, they added an additional community development project each November. The stove teams are made up of 18 volunteers and they have served several areas around Guatemala. Currently they are working in the small communities around Santa Cruz del Quiche.
